Sylvester
Sylvester

This is by artist Jillian Smith.

When Jillian started to design her hog, spring was heralding new life in the countryside and she has conveyed this in her design. Looking to nature gives new hope to the future. Birds are nesting, ladybirds, bugs and bees can be seen and even the odd butterfly. The hog is cloaked in dark green ivy to highlight the wildlife we hope it will inspire children and adults alike to observe some of our wonderful local nature.

Sylvester was originall located at the Fountains, Eastrop Park. He was sadly vandalised, but has now been restored and given a new home in the safety of the Willis Museum.
